8083 WILSON D. MOORE
KARTHAUS - Wilson D. Moore, 49, of Karthaus died at 2 a.m. today in the Philipsburg State Hospital.
Mr. Moore was born Dec. 15, 1911, at Pottersdale, a son of Alpheus Moore and Katherine (Rauch) Moore. He had worked as a molder at Carborundum Co., Niagara Falls, NY.
Survivors include his wife, the former Rachel Rauch, and three children: Richard S. Moore, Frenchville R.D.; Mrs. Robert Martell, Karthaus; and Miss Jean, at home.
A grandchild also survives as do a brother, Clair, of Renovo and two sisters, Mrs. Leo Stroup of Erie and Mrs. Glen McGonigal of LeContes Mills.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. from the Oak Hill Church at Karthaus, with Rev. Robert Wittlinger officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Friends will be received at the Raymond Rauch residence at Karthaus beginning tomorrow evening and until time of services on Sunday.

8099 Word has been received of the marriage of Miss Pearl E. Terry of Linesville, Pa. and Lieut. Harrison M. Hawkins, of Saegertown, Pa., which took place at Rockford Ill Oct. 27, 1917, Judge Lewis M. Reckrow officiating.
The wedding was of a simply military nature and the climax of a lengthy romance which originated in school days at State Normal, Edinboro, Pa., both being graduates of that school. The bride completed the course in fine arts and has been engaged recently in the work in the public schools of Coldwater, Mich., and teaching at New Castle, Pa.
The groom is a graduate of Jefferson Medical College Philadelphia recently practicing in San Francisco, Cal. until enlisting in military service.
The present world crisis disturbs future plans but the young people hope to make their home in San Francisco where the groom will resume practice. The many friends of Lieutenant and Mrs. Hawkins extend them best wishes.
