FUNERAL OF MRS. HARVEY EDWARDS KENNEDY
The funeral services of the late Mrs. Harvey Edwards Kennedy were held at the "Traveler" on Sunday afternoon at three o'clock, the Rev. GB Carr and the Rev. GW Sias officiating. The service was opened by a short reading from St. John, followed by a song; the reading from Corinthians; a prayer by the Rev. GW Sias; another song; the sermon by Rev GB Carr, and a third song. The short reading was very fittingly succeeded by the famous funeral service from Corinthians. The prayer was unusually impressive and three songs beautifully sung by Mrs. Hugh Thomas Gage also deserve special mention and praiser. The first was "Lead Kindly Light;" the second, "Face to Face," and lastly, the "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere."
Mrs. Kennedy before marriage was Catherine Clyde Van Sicklin, daughter of Mr. J.A. Van Sicklin and Sarah Parker. She was born in Amboy,O., on the sixth of October, 1878; married on the twentieth of June, 1906, and died in St. Vincent's Hospital at Cleveland on August twenty-second. For the greater (missing)....

    Family Harvey Edwards Kennedy
    Married 20 Jun 1906
    • from the June 27, 1906 issue of the Linesville Herald:
The marriage of Mr. Harvey E. Kennedy and Miss Katherine C. Van Sicklin was witnessed by immediate friends at 3 o'clock, June 20, 1906, in the parlors of The Traveler hotel, the home of the bride. The ceremony was performed by Rev. W.M. Curry, of Manasses, Pa., as the bride and groom took their places beneath a bell of roses, the wedlock vows being given in an impressive manner. The decorations, wedding supper and happy demeanor of all lent enchantment to the occasion so eventful to two hearts that beat as one. The same day the happy couple took their departure for the east, and are now enjoying the honeymoon in New York and at Manhattan Beach. Mr. Kennedy's brother, of New York, was present.
