MRS. ROLAND NOLDER AND SON JAMES
Impressive memorial services were held on Friday afternoon at two o'clock for Ruth Pratt Nolder and son Jimmie, aged near four years. The services took place at the home of Ruth's grandmother, Mrs. Mary Carnes.
Mrs. Nolder and son were killed on Sunday evening, September 16, when a machine driven by her husband was struck at a railroad crossing at Hammonton, NJ. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. LaVern Pratt, of Cambridge Springs and spent most of her life there. Five years ago she was married to H. Roland Nolder. At the time of her death she ws twenty-five years of age.
The services Friday were conducted by Rev. SS King of Cambridge Springs, assisted by the Rev. Sloan, pastor of Linesville First ME Church. A large number attended from Cambridge.
Interment took place in the Linesville cemetery. Six cousins, Elmer Cye and Clair Whaley, Harvey, Ford, Guy and Charles acted as pall bearers for Mrs. Nolder while Jimmies casket was borne to the grave by four school friends of the former Miss Pratt. These being: Elizabeth Boyland, George, Garnet Brink-Satterlee, of Meadville, and Margaret Robb and Alice Hood, of Cambridge.
