Albert H. Bittner
Albert H. Bittner, 85, Linesville, died at Spencer Hospital Monday, April 25, 1966, following a short illness.
He was born in Pittsburgh on Feb. 15, 1881.
Mr. Bittner was married to the former Minnie Herschel.
He owned and operated the Bittner Pharmacy in Linesville from 1938 to 1955 when he sold it to his granddaughter and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Madigan. Mr. Bittner remained active as a pharmacist at the drug store until retiring two years ago.
Before moving to Linesville he operated two drug stores in Youngstown. He was a graduate of the National Institute of Pharmacy in Chicago.
Mr. Bittner was a member of the Youngstown Masonic Lodge and Aut Morrie Grotto at Youngstown.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Charles (Verda) Minchin of Youngstown and a son, Albert of Youngstown; three grandchildren, Mrs. Thomas Doherty of Cleveland, Mrs. Arthur Campbell of Denver, Colo., and Mrs. Madigan. Six great-grandchildren also survive.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Thurman M. Houghton Funeral Home, Linesville, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Lee Parker of Linesville Methodist Church officiating. interment will follow at Linesville Cemetery.
