ROBERT OWEN BROOKS
Robert Owen Brooks, 51, 5634 Via Ropmano St., Charlotte, N.C., formerly of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., died Friday, Oct. 3, 1980, at St. Vincent's Health Center, Erie, after a short illness.
He was born at Linesville Aug. 23, 1929, son of Charles C. and Lula May Wing Brooks. He married Miriam Jean Ocker June 4, 1955. He was self-employed as a composer and music arranger. He also was a choir director and radio announcer in Fort Lauderdale for 23 years. He was a former member of Linesville First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, two daughters, Laurie Ann and Janet Lynn Brooks, both of Charlotte, and his mother of Linesville.
Friends may call Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the William H. Houghton Funeral Home, Linesville, where servies will be held Monday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. David Beck of Linesville baptist Church officiating. Interment will be at Linesville Cemetery.
