      James B. Ladner was born June 13, 1836, in Conneaut township. Died June 13, 1906. He was the son of John V. and Martha Ann Ladner. He married Roxanna Brown; has lived in this vicinity the most of his life. At one time he went to Iowa, going overland in company with JT Logan. He bought a farm and lived there four or five years. After the death of his wife he moved to Conneaut, O., about 10 years ago. Five children were born to them. Three are still living, two sons in Conneaut L., and Miss Hazel Grace, of Linesville. He had one brother and three sisters. Two are still living, Mrs. ME Logan, of Linesville, Pa., and Mrs. RE McMullen of Grand Rapids, Mich. Funeral was held at the home of Mrs. Logan on Thursday, his pastor, Rev. Hildebrand of the UP Church, officiating.
