    • from a scrapbook at the Linesville Historical Society:
A beautiful home wedding was solemnized on Thursday, June 16, 921, when Jessie, daughter of Mrs. Lottie M. Woodard, became the bride of Leo I. Peterson. The ceremony was performed in their newly furnished home on South Mercer street, by Rev. RC Douds of Stoneboro, Pa., an uncle of the groom. The bride was attired in white beaded georgette and tricolette, and carried a shower bouquet of white roses. Miss Hattie Woodard, sister of the bride, was maid of honor and wore pink organdie and carried pink roses. Robert Peterson, brother of the groom, served as best man.
After the ceremony and congratulations, the bridal party were taken to the local photographers and several group pictures were taken. Upon their return to the house a dainty lunch was served. The house was tastefully decorated with ferns and roses, the work of the east end florist, WR Holmes. When the bridal couple prepared to start on their wedding trip the brothers of the bride and groom gave them a joy ride thru town in a fantastically decorated auto, followed by the guests in autos. Finally they were given their luggage and allowed to proceed on their way to Chautauqua Lake and Niagara Falls. After July 1st they will be at home.
Mr. and Mrs. Peterson were the recipients of many beautiful gifts of furniture, silver, china, cut glass, linen, etc.
