1888 MINUTES OF THE LINESVILLE CEMETERY ASSOCIATION
January 13, 1888
Linesville Cemetery Association met at J.G. Gaugh House all members present.
Minutes of last meeting read and approved as read.
President appointed for Auditors J.D. Bowman and O.H. Cram.
On motion of S.S. Tyler an Order of Ten Dollars in favor of R.H. Talcott for salary as Secretary. Motion carried.
Secretary was instructed to get Four plank for use in cemetery.
On motion of J.G. Gaugh that Secretary give notice to all members that have not paid in full that same must be paid immediately. Carried. Signed: R.H. Talcott, Secretary.
February 10, 1888
Cemetery Association met at Town Hall. All members present.
Auditors report read and received. Amount received during 1887 $1.35; Amount Paid on during 1887 $44.85; Balance in Treasury $121.17. Books balanced to date.
Election returns received and Mr. Isaac Ladner Elected for 2 years, Mr. Austin Splistone Elected for 1 year, Mr. R.H. Talcott Elected for 2 years. Old Board then adjourned. When New Board Proceded organized by electing Thos. Limber President, S.S. Tyler Treasurer, R.H. Talcott Secretary and Wiley Mackey Sexton.
Moved and Carried that an Order for $1.00 be granted to R.H. Talcott for 4 Plank for Cemetery. Signed: R.H. Talcott, Secretary.
May 5, 1988
Cemetery Association met at Town Hall. Minutes of Last meeting read and approved. Members present: Thos. Limber, S.S. Tyler, A.H. Splitstone, R.H. Talcott.
S.S. Tyler and A.H. Splitstone were appointed a Committee to receive Bids for Building 10x12 feet in Cemetery.

May 11, 1888
Cemetery Association met at Town Hall members present Thos. Limber, R.H. Talcott, A.H. Splitstone, S.S. Tyler. Minutes of last meeting read and approved.
Committee reported Bids received from G.C. Wallace on Building of $45.00, Owen Collins on Building of $60.00, W.A. Cunningham on Building of $57.00.
Resolved that we let Mr. Alonso Smith have use of the Three pointed piece of land adjoining his Lot No. 26 in the north end for ornamental purpose and no other. Carried. Note - in today's number system, this is Section D, Lot 144
Moved and Carried that Sexton cut briers and clean all rubbish from all lots. Adjourned to May 18. Signed: R.H. Talcott, Secretary

Cemetery Association met at Town Hall. Tom Limber, S.S. Tyler, R.H. Talcott present.
Former Bids considered and contract to G.C. Wallace for $45.00 ato be Completed within 40 days.

September 6, 1888
Cemetery meeting at Town Hall. Thos. Limber, R.H. Talcott, S.S. Tyler present.
Paid S.A. Miller for Borough Orders. Order No. 13 Feb. 11 1879 S.E. Bunday $5.62; Order No. 15 March 27 1879 A.S. Gilliland $0.65; Order No. 16 March 27 1879 C.P. Stevens $1.00; Order No. 17 March 27 1879 S.E. Bunday $1.00. Total $8.27.
Settlement made with G.C. Wallace on Contract for Building of $45.00 and Extras of $10.00. Same granted and orders drawed in favor of S.A. Miller for the amount less balance due his lot of $11.75.

Cemetery Association met at Town Hall. Members present T. Limber, R.H. Talcott, A. Splitstone. Minutes of last meeting red and approved.
Resolution Presented by R.H. Talcott, T. Limber, A. Splitstone: Be it enacted that Section 4 of bylaws be and the same is hereby repealed and hearafter no lot Holder Shall be allowed the privilege of voting by proxy.
Moved and carried that the above resolution be received and the same shall be advertised and voted on on January 11th 1889.
