1890 MINUTES OF THE LINESVILLE CEMETERY ASSOCIATION



February 14, 1890


Cemetery Association met at house of R.H. Talcott. Members present R.H. Talcott, Thos. Limber, J.G. Gaugh.

Election returns presented by Secretary - W.A. Bowman for three years, W.E. Brown for three years, W.P. Minelley for two years, J.G. Gaugh for two years, Thos. Limber for two years.

Order granted S.W. Lowing for $1.00 for printing Election notice. Carried.

Order granted R.H. Talcott of $10.00 for Secretary services. Carried.

Auditors appointed O.H. Cram, J.D. Bowman.

The Trustees of the Linesville Cemetery Association met for organization at the Post Office. Members W.E. Brown, Thos. Limber, J.G. Gaugh and W.A. Bowman.

On motion, W.E. Brown was elected temporary President and W.A. Bowman was elected temporary Secretary.

On motion Thos Limber was elected permanent President, voting Viva Soca. On motion W.A. Bowman as elected permanent Secretary - Viva Soca. On motion John G. Gaugh was elected Treasurer, Viva Soca.

On motion adjourned to second Friday in March. Signed: W.A. Bowman, Secretary


March 14, 1890


Cemetery Association met at Secretary's office. Members present Mess. Brown, Gaugh, Limber, & Bowman.

On motion an order was granted the Treasurer of the Association for Ninety-8/100 Dollars in pay costs in suit of Wallace Ormes versus J.P. Collins. On motion that the secretary be instructed to settle with witnesses for the defense in the above case and prsent Bill at next regular meeting.

On motion adjourned to next regular meeting. Signed: W.A. Bowman, Secretary.


May 22, 1890


Cemetery Association met at Secretary's Office. Members present Mess. Brown, Gaugh, Limber & Bowman. Minutes of last meeting read and approved.

On motion an order was granted the Treasurer for seventeen 75/100 Dollars being the amount due for witness costs in suit of Collins vs Ormes. Carried.

On motion that W.L. Mackey be appointed Sexton on the same terms he had last year. Carried.

On motion adjourned to next regular meeting. Signed: W.A. Bowman, Secretary.
