1893 MINUTES OF THE LINESVILLE CEMETERY ASSOCIATION



March 1, 1893


Association met at the office of the Secretary. Members present Mes. Gaugh, Bowman, Limber & Shattuck. Minutes of last meeting read and approved.

On motion an order was granted Harvey Dun for Sixty-cents for mowing in Cemetery. Carried.

On motion an order be granted Secretary for Ten Dollars for salary for the past year. Carried.

On motion that the President appoint two members of the Association to audit the accounts of last year. J.D. Bowman and Amos Garwood were appointed.

At an election held February 4, 1893 there being 13 votes, Thos. Limber, A.B. Griffing, & W.A. Bowman having a majority of votes cast - was declared elected Trustees of the Association for three years.

On motion adjourned.


March 1, 1893


The Linesville Cemetery Association met for organization, J.G. Gaugh was elected temporary President and Eugene Shattuck was elected temporary Secretary.

On motion Thos. Limber was nominated and elected permanent President and W.A. Bowman was nominated and elected permanent Secretary. J.G. Gaugh was elected Treasurer for the coming year.

The president appointed A.B. Griffing and Eugene Shattuck a committee to negotiate the purchase of additional land for cemetery purposes.

On motion H.H. Davis was elected Sexton on the same terms as his predecessor the ensuing year. Carried.

On motion adjoured to the call of the president. Approved: W.A. Bowman, Secretary
